MR Stuart Heyes of Sandy Lane, Accrington died suddenly in hospital surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, July 22 aged 61.

A selfless and devoted family man, who always put others first, Stuart doted on his family and especially his grandchild­ren who he loved to spend time with and spoil.

He could turn his hand to any task and did all his own DIY along with jobs for all the other family members.

Stuart worked as an aircraft engineer at GEC and later served for more than 20 years at Aircelle in Burnley. He loved his work and made many good friends.

Stuart loved family holidays both in the UK and abroad. UK holidays were spent in Cornwall on caravan and camping trips and his favourite holiday abroad was to Greece with the love of his life, Lynne.

The dearly loved and devoted husband of Lynne, Stuart was the much loved dad of Louise, Lee and Ian, dear father-in-law of Sarah, cherished grandad of Rhiannon, Maddison and Harry, dear brother of Michael and Alan and also a much loved relative and good friend to many.

A celebratio­n of Stuart’s life will take place on Friday, July 31 at 3pm at Accrington Crematoriu­m. Family flowers only please with donations on behalf of East Lancashire Hospice via www. champfuner­als.com/ obituaries.
