ROTARY CLUB OF CHURCH AND OSWALDTWISTLE

-

THE Rotary Club of Church and Oswaldtwistle recently organised a fashion show at Oswaldtwistle Mills, which involved members of the club taking part as models in association with Edinburgh Woollen Mill.

Although the turnout was not as high as that held last year, shoppers were entertained for two hours as Rotarians and Friends of Rotary showed off their outfits along the catwalk.

One of the models was Rotarian Mike Hindle who donned a superb jacket and trousers which he showed off in great style.

Many friends of Mike were really impressed as they hardly recognised him looking so distinguished!

The show was arranged by Edinburgh Woollen Mill and Pavers Shoes and was supported by Cafe Nova.

Rotary Club president Jim Hargreaves said: “This Fashion Show brought Rotarians, Friends of Rotary and staff from Rhyddings Business and Enterprise School together with an event that they thoroughly enjoyed being part of, which was certainly appreciated by the audience.

“I want to thank Oswaldtwistle Mills for allowing the function to take place and all the models who did such a good job, and not forgetting Rotarian Lennie Herbert, who was the organiser.”

Proceeds from the entrance fee and the raffle will go to the Rotary fund for the project of eliminating polio, which thanks to the Rotary movement worldwide has almost achieved an end to this dreadful disease.

A further fashion show is planned for later in the year.
