He called victim at work to demand she came home so he could go to gym

ATHUG injured his partner’s eye with his thumb during a ‘heated’ argument, a court heard.

Mark Svajcsik called the victim at work, shouting and demanding she return home to Stanley Street in Accrington so he could go to the gym.

The couple then got in an argument when she arrived home and Svajcsik told her: “Don’t tell me what to do. I’ll do what I want when I want.”

Burnley Crown Court heard how the 29-yearold caught the victim in the eye with his thumb ‘with some force’ as he was trying to push her away.

She was left ‘screaming’ in pain before fleeing to a nearby friend’s house.

Father-of-two Svajcsik pleaded guilty to ABH and was given a fourmonth jail sentence, suspended for 18 months with a 30-day rehabilita­tion activity requiremen­t and an 18-month restrainin­g order. received a call on her mobile from Mr Svajcsik asking what time her train was.
