Garden show blossoms
THE Baxenden Allotments and Gardens Society Show took place at Hollins Technology College and attracted more than 300 entries across all categories.
Around 100 people attended the show, with entrants aged four to 84.
Society member Sheila McVan said: “The prizes were presented by the Deputy Mayor and Mayor- ess and the children received medals from Accrington Lions.”
An arrangement of blooming Chrysanthemums won best in show for 2017.
