A CRAFT fair will take place this week­end in Oswaldtwistle.

The event will be held at Hip­pings Vale Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, on Har­vey Street, run­ning from 10am to 2pm on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 7.

It will fea­ture unique hand­made gifts, free crafts for kids, and re­fresh­ments. En­try is free. Stalls, priced £10, are avail­able to book.

THE Ac­cring­ton and District Blind So­ci­ety will hold their an­nual quiz at En­field Cricket Club.

Teams will bat­tle it out to win The Ac­cring­ton Ro­tary Cup and a first prize of £50.

The event was due to be held on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 5, at 7.30pm with quiz mas­ter Gerald Jack­son of BBC Ra­dio Lan­cashire. En­try is £5 per per­son with prizes also avail­able for sec­ond and third place and the los­ing team. En­try forms are avail­able at the Blind So­ci­ety on Bank Street.


A FRI­DAY af­ter­noon drama group for ages eight to 14 has started up again at the Oswaldtwistle Civic Arts Cen­tre and The­atre.

The price is £3 per week, with the ses­sions run­ning from 4pm to 5.30pm ev­ery week. The fi­nal show­case will take place on Fri­day, Novem­ber 24, with the aim of do­ing a re­duced ver­sion of A Christ­mas Carol.
