Accrington Observer - - YOUR VIEWS -

REGARDING the article on the closure of the Peel Street loos - it kills you to use the facilities in the market hall.

One of the toilet doors will not lock, the catch does not go in the slot it’s intended to, it catches the frame below the slot when you press the tap for soap.

Very often you don’t get any liquid coming out.

When you press the tap down, the water only runs for a second.

One of the two hand dryers does not work and the one that does only blows out cold air.

On September 4, I used the so-called facilities, I could not get my hands dry and was still rubbing my hands together to dry them when descending to the ground floor in the lift.

Most women don’t wash their hands because those facilities are useless.

Oh another thing, there was no toilet paper in one of the three toilets that could be used.

The Peel Street loos need opening pronto though I have never used them myself so I don’t know what those facilities are like. Mrs V Rigg Glebe Street Great Harwood
