FRED MOORE

MR Fred Moore, of Rishton and formerly of Langho, passed away at his daughter’s home, on Wednesday, October 25, aged 87.

Fred started his working life as an apprentice at the East Lancashire Coachbuilders and later moved to work as a foreman at Gillibrands in Blackburn.

His favourite hobby was building vintage wagons and just generally tinkering about and building things.

He took pleasure in going away on holiday especially abroad to Fuengirola in Spain, the Canary Islands and also America. He was also an affiliated member of Rishton Conservative Club.

He was a dearly loving husband to the late Annie, a loving father of Ian and June, a dear father-in-law to Ian and Michaela and a treasured grandad and great-grandad.

His funeral service will be held on Friday, November 3 at 1pm at St Peter’s and St Paul’s Church, Rishton, prior to interment in Great Harwood Cemetery.
