MR Fred Moore, of Rish­ton and for­merly of Langho, passed away at his daugh­ter’s home, on Wed­nes­day, Oc­to­ber 25, aged 87.

Fred started his work­ing life as an ap­pren­tice at the East Lan­cashire Coach­builders and later moved to work as a fore­man at Gil­li­brands in Black­burn.

His favourite hobby was build­ing vin­tage wag­ons and just gen­er­ally tin­ker­ing about and build­ing things.

He took plea­sure in go­ing away on hol­i­day es­pe­cially abroad to Fuen­girola in Spain, the Ca­nary Is­lands and also Amer­ica. He was also an af­fil­i­ated mem­ber of Rish­ton Con­ser­va­tive Club.

He was a dearly loving hus­band to the late An­nie, a loving fa­ther of Ian and June, a dear fa­ther-in-law to Ian and Michaela and a trea­sured grandad and great-grandad.

His funeral ser­vice will be held on Fri­day, Novem­ber 3 at 1pm at St Peter’s and St Paul’s Church, Rish­ton, prior to in­ter­ment in Great Har­wood Ceme­tery.
