Hydro help for pets

Accrington Observer - - NEWS -

A HYDROTHERAPY rehabilitation centre has come to the aid of an animal charity to support some of its neediest patients.

Staff at the RSPCA Altham centre were recently faced with the ‘heartbreaking dilemma’ of having to put a 10-month old German Shepherd called King to sleep due to his very severe hip dysplacia.

The ‘painful and uncomfortable condition’ left King with an ‘extremely. poor quality of life’, however he is now coming on ‘leaps and bounds’ after regular sessions at the My Vet Hydro centre.

Jeanette Ainscough, RSPCA Altham animal centre manager, said they have been left ‘staggered’ by the results of the state-of-the-art centre in Clayton-le-Dale.

She said: “They have very kindly worked with several of our animals who were facing extreme difficulties.

“The progress and improvements that we have seen with these animals are staggering.”
