A GROUP of friends completed the Three Peaks Challenge for charity.
Trevor Jennings, from Oswaldtwistle, was joined by five friends to raise money for Asthma UK and awareness of the condition.
His son Ethan, three, has had to go to hospital nearly 20 times over the last two years due to the severity of his asthma.
Trevor, 37, completed the challenge in just under 12 hours and was joined by Jo and Ben Colwell, Jodie Battson and Nina and Abigail Paula.
The group comfortably surpassed their £1,000 target for Asthma UK.
MOUNT Carmel High School has announced the winner of its open evening prize - a computer tablet.
Emily McNaught, a year six pupil at St Anne’s & St Joseph’s RC Primary school, attended Mount Carmel with her family and went on a personal tour.
Sue Fielding, school partnership manager, said: “Emily was thrilled to receive the prize and had a lovely smile on her face when I came to her class and presented it to her.”
