A string quar­tet based in the Val­ley is set to per­form at Bacup and Rawten­stall Gram­mar School on April 30. The Ac­ceso String Quar­tet, formed in April 2017, will per­form mu­sic by Haydn, Beethoven and Shostakovich, as well as com­po­si­tions by A-level mu­sic stu­dents from the school. The quar­tet, which played its in­au­gu­ral con­cert in St Anne’s Church, Ed­ge­side, con­sists of Alexan­dra Stemp and Su­san Voss on vi­o­lin, Jayne Coyle on vi­ola and Es­ther Har­riot on cello, all of whom are free­lance pro­fes­sional mu­si­cians and per­form with or­ches­tras in­clud­ing the Halle, BBC Phil­har­monic and Royal Liver­pool Phil­har­monic.
