Accrington Observer - - YOUR VIEWS -

I WOULD like to thank everyone that attended my brother James Butler’s funeral.

For all the cards and kind words. My family took some comfort in knowing he had lots of friends that cared and will miss Jim. He was a good brother and a great family man and all ways fun to be with. He was a full time carer to his much love wife Pat, who sadly died almost two years ago.

But I’m not just writing this letter to talk about his funeral.

I want tell you what finally took him away from us which was Prostate Cancer, it’s one of the biggest killers of men I’m told in this country.

And maybe if he had the test sooner he would be here now. So I urge men out there, get yourself checked out Now.

You may save yourself and your family from pain and suffering. My lovely brother fought long and hard to stay with us but cancer won in the end.

Don’t let it happen to You. Wynn Pilkington via email
