Horror as ducks are shot dead
A NUMBER of ducks have been shot dead in Hyndburn.
An appeal is underway after three youths were spotted targeting the ducks with a catapult near to a canal bridge on High Street, Rishton, yesterday (July 5).
Police have confirmed that a number of ducks have been found dead following the incident. Lancashire Constabulary is now appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
A spokesperson for Hyndburn Police said: “Yesterday we received a report that three youths had been seen shooting at ducks with a catapult near to the canal bridge at High Street, Rishton.
“Unfortunately a number of ducks have now been found dead. If anyone has any information about this incident, please call 101 quoting log 0612 of 05/07/20 or email 2991@ lancashire.pnn.police.uk.”
