Pellet prep

Air Gunner - - Your Letters -

I read your article about pellet preparation and I have to say that I disagree with what you wrote. I’ve been washing, drying, sizing and lubricating my pellets

since 1983, and I know for a fact that it makes them more accurate. I’ve done loads of testing and proven beyond a doubt that it makes a worthwhile difference. I hunt and care about every shot I fire on live quarry, so feel the effort of the prep’

shows respect for the animals and birds I shoot. Pete

Hello Pete If what you’re doing works, then more power to you. In the past, when pellets were not

so well made I, like you, could see a difference, but modern pellets, like the Air Arms Field are so good from the tin I couldn’t see a difference after all the work was done. Your choice of pellet and the rifle you shoot might well be completely different to mine. Ed.
