A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY
Lovers of Air Arms rifles need to be sure to visit the Midland Game Fair because they’ll find a chance to buy unique rifle stocks to fit their prized guns. Over the years Air Arms has bought in prototype stocks to fit several of their models and for one reason or another some never made it into the catalogue.
Until now they’ve been using up valuable storage space at the factory, so the management team decided to sell them to Air Arms fans who will treasure the chance to own a rare piece of the company’s history.
As you can see from the photos, some of them are highly unusual, whilst others are subtle variations on the ones you and I can buy today. Every one will be on display at the game fair and it will be a case of first come, first served. Once they’re gone there will never be a chance to buy one again, so if this is your thing, you need to get there early.
Prices will vary from model to model and be displayed on the stock, and will not be negotiable. It seems certain that keen collectors will snap these up unless you get in first.
The photos we’ve seen show stocks to fit the S200, S510 Twice, and S410/ 510, and there are more that we haven’t seen, so there should be a good chance that there will be one to fit the model you own. Good luck! We hope you find your dream stock at the show.
Fancy a stock in a colour yet to be offered as an option? Then make the Air Arms stand your early- bird appointment at the Midland. These are all fully-finished stocks that perfectly fit their respective rifle models, and as this magazine goes to press, Air Arms is still selecting them for the company’s unique ‘on sale offer’, so who knows what will be there? Here’s the Air Gunner office favourite of the stocks we’ve seen so far. It’s a grey/blue variation of the ‘barbed wire’ theme for the Air Arms S200. We’re not allowed to buy the stocks, but if you get in early, you can walk away with something truly special. Actually, the more we study these stocks, the more we wonder why they didn’t make it into production. Maybe that’s a question you can ask Air Arms at the show. We’ll definitely be doing just that.
How about this amazing ‘barbed wire’ finished stock for your beloved Air Arms S200? Like all the other stocks on offer at this year’s Midland Game Fair, this one was presented as a production possibility which didn’t make it as a factory option. We think it looks great and it’s already obvious that getting to the Air Arms stand early is going to be the best way of bagging something special
