Superb service

Air Gunner - - Your Letters -

I read your recent report about Hawke HQ and found it extremely helpful. I have had recent dealings with Hawke and found them to be interesting, prompt and informative. In fact, they were a delight to deal with. I managed to drop my Hawke Varmint (no longer produced) onto the garage floor, causing damage and an inability to zero. I contacted Hawke by email in the forlorn hope that they could repair it, and was surprised to learn that they do offer a repair/replacement service. I imagine that some readers, like me, might be unaware of this service and I write to suggest that you might consider reporting this as a follow- up to your review, for the information of all. I forwarded the scope as suggested by them, and received an email acknowledgement of receipt the next day. Later the same day, another email came, outlining the damage. Not a repairable proposition, but they offered a 50% discount on a similar replacement. Needless to say, I accepted this offer without hesitation. I think their repair service has a maximum charge of £ 35, just in case you are wondering. I have no connection with Hawke or any person in any way connected with the company. PETER BAKER Hello Peter Hawke did tell me about this during my visit, but I didn’t have enough space to put everything I learned into the article, so thank you for illustrating this service. As I wrote, I find the team there genuinely keen to offer the very best products, backed up by firstclass service at all times and I’m sure that’s why they’re such a huge success. Ed
