Hospice honours pupils’ support

receive certificates from Ruth Richardson of the hospice Senior pupils at Coatbridge High School have been honoured for their work supporting St Andrew’s Hospice.

This year saw 15 S6 pupils volunteer their services for the Airdrie-based facility.

They organised fundraising events in the school.

Andrea Hunter from the school said:“This is the fourth year Coatbridge High has taken part in the ambassador programme and our young people have excelled in their volunteer work.

“They have shown initiative in planning, organising and taking part in events throughout the year, such as the 6K run, Christmas fayre and even a charity night in a local nightclub. The school is very proud of their commitment and they are a credit to both the school and their parents.”
