Dealer threw drugs out of the window
An Airdrie drug dealer faces a lengthy jail sentence after being snared with a substantial quantity of amphetemines in his possession.
Stephen Hewitt, 33, of Honeywell Crescent, Chapelhall, was apprehended by drugs squad detectives at his home on July 14, where he was found to be supplying the Class B drugs to others.
Hewitt denied intentionally obstructing five police officers who raided his home. It was claimed he threw a bag containing substances out of a window in a bid to avoid detection.
He also denied being in possession of cannabis.
Both not guilty pleas were accepted by the Crown. Sheriff Sara Matheson deferred sentence until October 11 for background reports.
