The Primary One kids are pictured with teacher Anne McPake Carnbroe Primary opened its gates to welcome a new intake of Primary One pupils – and the group were more than happy to get comfy at their brand new desks.

Class teacher Anne McPake joined the children for a class photograph, which featured in the October 5, 1990, edition of the Advertiser.

One good-natured little mischief maker (back, second from right) turned away just as the photo was taken, but it just added to the image’s charm.

Advertiser readers who would like to submit their old classroom photos can do so by emailing the images, including as much information as possible about the pictures, to ian. bunting@trinitymirror.com.
