Develop skills at club

- Staff reporter

Monklands snappers with a keen knowledge of, and interest in, all things photographic can develop their skills at a local group tailored to their skills.

Airdrie & Coatbridge Photography Club’s new session is off and running – and the organisation is inviting new members to get involved.

Anyone interested in joining the group can attend their weekly meetings, which take place every Tuesday at 7.30pm in Coatbridge indoor bowling club, on Quarry Street.

A spokesperson for the club said: “We welcome all new members along. The club gives people the chance to share their passion for photography and pick up some tips and advice on how to capture interesting images.

“We have live demonstrations, talks from professional speakers and competitions with local photographic clubs.”

The club’s membership fee is £30, with a concession for students also available.

Its forthcoming meeting, next Tuesday, will see guest speaker Jim Dyas give a talk entitled “5 Way Competition”.
