Light up a life to support Airdrie hospice
St Andrew’s Hospice will hold its annual “light up a life”ceremony on Sunday, December 3.
The Airdrie charity runs an annual campaign inviting supporters to sponsor a light on its Christmas tree in memory or in honour of a loved one.
All funds raised by the annual festive campaign go to support the specialist palliative care provided by the hospice – which has to raise £88,000 every week to run its range of services.
Lights can be sponsored by calling 01236 766951, going online at www. st-andrews- hospice.com, visiting the hospice’s Henderson Street reception on weekdays between 9am and 4.30pm, or visiting any of the hospice’s shops, including at Hallcraig Street in Airdrie and Main Street in Coatbridge.
Supporters who participate in the“light up a life”campaign can also have a handwritten, personalised card delivered to themselves or a friend or relative to let them know that they are being kept in someone’s thoughts.
The tree-lighting ceremony will be part of the hospice’s annual gathering to remember loved ones, at 7pm on December 3.
It will take place in the grounds of the hospice on Henderson Street in Airdrie; where the building is currently under rebuilding and renovation.
