Lunch date to raise hospice funds
Lord lieutenant Lady Susan Haughey and North Lanarkshire provost Jean Jones are among the latest visitors to the renovated St Andrew’s Hospice.
They saw the renovated premises – where patients will return today after 15 months of construction – as they promoted a“lasses’lunch”.
It takes place at the Alona Hotel in Strathclyde Park on April 15, and includes a sparkling reception, lunch, games, dancing and shopping; with proceeds being split between St Andrew’s and Strathcarron hospices.
Nearly £6 million of the required £9m has been raised to date – and capital appeal chair Gibby Cox said: “The appeal isn’t finished – there’s still a lot of money to find.”
The hospice is now running a Homecoming campaign – text ROOM18 £5 to 70070 to donate.
Tickets for the“lasses’lunch”cost £35; email Linda Gibson on gibsonl@ northlan.gov.uk to book.
