Airdrie & Coatbridge Advertiser - - Your Pictures -

The recent wintry weather did more than just send shivers down spines across Monklands.

It also gave local photographers the chance to snap some eye-catching images.

Glenboig man Mark Farrell shared his photos of snow-covered streets in his home village, which also showcased the community spirit on show.

Mark, who lives on Strone Path, captured the moment residents joined forces to clear pavements and roads to get Glenboig moving again in the wake of the Beast from the East.

But it was not all about the wintry weather for Mark. He also sent us in some sun-kissed pictures to get everyone in the mood for spring.

Advertiser readers interested in following in Mark’s footsteps by submitting photos for publication are invited to email the images, with their name and details about the pictures’ content, to ian.bunting@trinitymirror.com.
