Bureau on hand to offer advice
Airdrie Citizens’ Advice Bureau staff will be on hand at various locations across the town to offer support on issues including debts, benefits and homelessness to residents at a series of surgeries.
The team can interview clients face-to-face or over the phone and assist clients to negotiate with creditors or appeal social security benefit decisions.
The outreach surgeries get off and running on Mondays at University Hospital Monklands, alternating between full and half days each week.
Further surgeries take place on Tuesdays at Plains community centre from 10am until noon and Caldercruix community centre from 1pm to 3pm (except the fourth Tuesday of the month).
Wednesdays see a weekly meeting held in Salsburgh community centre from 10am until noon.
The bureau’s Anderson Street base is open, for appointments only, from Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm.
