Si Pittaway puts .25 calibre to the toughest test

Airgun World - - Si And Davy: 25 On Rats -

Over the past few years I’ve read many articles about whether or not a sub-12 ft.lb., .25 calibre rifle is any good for hunting. Some vote for it and really rate it, whilst others vote against it, stating that the slower .25 pellet takes too long to reach its target, giving it time to react to the sound of a muzzle report. About eight months ago, I bought my own .25 calibre Sandwell Field Sports Snipe - a custom-tuned Weihrauch HW99S with a .25 barrel and special Weihrauch .25 silencer fitted. After Davy and I had taken the time to get to know

Note how the rifle isn’t directly rested. That supporting hand is also a cushion.
