Fraud case set for crown court

FOUR men charged af­ter elderly peo­ple in Alder­shot, Farn­bor­ough and Cam­ber­ley were conned out of huge sums to fix al­leged roof dam­age will have their cases heard in crown court.

An­drew Doe, 21, and Billy Doe, 19, both of Foxborough Close in Slough, Jessie James, 30, of Dit­ton Road in Slough and Kevin Haines, 31, of Lower Elm­stone Drive in Read­ing, all ap­peared at Alder­shot Mag­is­trates’ Court last Thurs­day charged with con­spir­acy to com­mit fraud by false rep­re­sen­ta­tion. The of­fences took place be­tween Jan­uary and March this year.

Their cases have been sent to Winch­ester Crown Court, where they will next ap­pear on Au­gust 13.
