HOLLY Lodge Primary School has said goodbye to seven girls, seven years after it bade farewell to their brothers, who were themselves all in the same school year.

Last Wednesday marked the ‘end of an era’ for seven sets of parents, for whom this year was their 14th making the daily run to the Ash Vale school.

When Milly Green, now 11, started at the Holly Lodge, in September 2007, she followed in the footsteps of her older brother, as did her six friends, with whom she graduated last Wednesday.

Her mother, Caz Green, said: “It was such a coincidence all the brothers had a sister born who went on to go to the same school in the same school year. All the parents knew each other from the school gate because of the boys. Milly was the first born, but then it was just girl after girl after girl.”

Milly is heading to Kings International College in Camberley, and the other girls are split between Ash Manor School and Wavell School in Farnborough.

Mrs Green, 47, a part-time special needs teacher said the brothers still keep in touch despite heading to different universities and jobs.
