Dare­dev­ils wanted for tower ab­seil

JUST a few spa­ces re­main on the Par­ity for Dis­abil­ity ab­seil chal­lenge, down the Spin­naker Tower.

Mem­bers of the pub­lic are asked to take on the 300-foot ab­seil, on Sun­day Au­gust 24, in sup­port of the Farn­bor­ough-based char­ity, which pro­vides vi­tal ser­vices for peo­ple with mul­ti­ple dis­abil­i­ties in Sur­rey, Hamp­shire and Berk­shire.

No pre­vi­ous ab­seil­ing ex­pe­ri­ence is re­quired, and all guid­ance and equip­ment is pro­vided by spe­cial­ists.

Helene Ab­biss, Par­ity com­mu­nity sup­port direc­tor, said: “This is an amaz­ing chal­lenge for some­one who wants to face their fears and at the same time help a very vi­tal char­ity.”

A £25 de­posit is re­quired and par­tic­i­pants will need to raise a min­i­mum of £175 in spon­sor­ship.
