The Vine Centre has also adapted it’s Vine Dining delivery service to allow it to continue to operate and ensure those involved can do so safely and has continued to provide training for those who want it via online links. Lesley Herniman, chief executive at The Vine Centre, said: “We have faced challenges as we have seen an increase in those presenting with mental health, debt and addiction. “Without the support of our new volunteers we would have been unable to cope with the demand. “As the lockdown relaxes we are still seeing an increase in referrals firstname.lastname@example.org @DanBlank5 AN Aldershot charity has been able to continue supporting those in the area who require assistance during the coronavirus pandemic thanks to the support of new and existing volunteers. The Vine Centre, a registered charity in Aldershot, Hampshire, has been supporting the most disadvantaged members of the community for over 30 years. As with all charities across the country, The Vine Centre has had to adapt its services to allow it to operate safely during the coronavirus pandemic. The charity launched a new telephone service, Vineline, to allow it to The Vine Centre volunteers in the catering kitchen to improve their job prospects.” The charity is heavily reliant on donations to help it continue to pro- and have worked with over 600 individuals over the past three months, we know phone support is not enough so we have still been seeing those in crisis for face to face support. “We are now looking ahead and will need funding to help us support people over the coming months, in particular those who are in debt, socially isolated and in need of training and development opportunities vide its services.
