One resident, though, was given “fire survival advice” by the service’s control room and firefighters at the scene after they were initially unable to exit. Pictures from the scene show a large presence of emergency services tackling the fire, as well as severe damage to the burnt out building in the aftermath of the incident. A Facebook post from Fleet Fire Station described the “clearly distressing scene” in detail. It includes the life of one occupant who had become trapped in the “severe fire” and had to be given critical safety advice in order to escape the burning building.
