The beauty of the Globe was that up to 3,000 peo­ple from all sec­tions of so­ci­ety would at­tend and en­joy what­ever com­edy, tragedy or drama was be­ing dis­played that day. How­ever, cer­tain parts of the au­di­ence be­come more in­volved than oth­ers and as pas­sions and spir­its rose, ac­tors also had to con­tend with fruit and in­sults thrown from the bois­ter­ous crowd be­fore bask­ing in the adu­la­tion of the cur­tain call.
