Cutting back crocosmia

Amateur Gardening - - Your Gardening Week -

WHEN flowering is over, crocosmias seem to go downhill quickly. Clumps of narrow, strap-shaped, leaves start to turn brown and stand out like a sore thumb. Some gardeners wait until the foliage is completely bleached out, but I prefer to get in there early and cut back all the stems to just above ground level.
