C. alba ‘Ele­gan­tis­sima’ Grey-green, ir­reg­u­larly margined leaves with white have a calm­ing ap­pear­ance. Win­ter stems are red.

C. san­guinea ‘Anny’s Win­ter Or­ange’ Strik­ing stems are yel­low, or­ange and red, 3-4ft (90-120cm) tall. Bril­liant fiery leaf tints.

C. alba ‘Sibir­ica’ The red­barked dog­wood bears red win­ter stems glow­ing coral at their tips. Up to 6ft (1.8m) tall when pruned reg­u­larly.

C. sericea ‘Flavi­ramea’ Ex­pect a mass of clear limegreen stems from vig­or­ous plants, in­clined to sucker. For pots, choose C.s. ‘Kelseyi’.
