In my garden

Amateur Gardening - - Pick Of The Very Best -

A few years ago, I noticed that the leaves on my pieris were developing yellowish speckles. The foliage is usually such a rich, dark green that this really spoilt the look of the plants. It turned out to be caused by pieris lacebug, a new pest that arrived from Japan about 20 years ago.

Fortunately, lacebug is easy to deal with using an organic spray such as Defenders Bug Killer Spray.
