Getty Im­ages pho­tog­ra­pher John Moore’s poignant im­age of a tod­dler at the USMex­ico bor­der has be­come the sym­bol of the con­tro­ver­sial ‘zero tol­er­ance’ im­mi­gra­tion pol­icy un­der the Trump ad­min­is­tra­tion. Moore has been pho­tograph­ing im­mi­gra­tion and US bor­der is­sues for the past decade,

and was ac­com­pa­ny­ing a pa­trol along the Rio Grande Val­ley when he took this im­age of a two-year- old Hon­duran asy­lum seeker.

The im­age has widely been cred­ited as help­ing to place public and po­lit­i­cal pres­sure on the US Pres­i­dent, who has since signed an or­der to keep fam­i­lies to­gether. Speak­ing to
