THIS WEEK’S MISSION
Wanting to try a public park lake for just normal fishing, I asked around and found what seemed to be the perfect venue.
After trawling the Internet though, all I could see was tales of doom and gloom. Wanting to fish it anyway, I set out with an open mind, and took on my own mantra of just fishing for a bite at a time. VENUE: Vicars Water Clipstone, Notts. Day tickets on the bank from £5. Google Vicars Water for more info. WEATHER: after what seemed like a month of rain, I finally saw a window of opportunity and opted for a short afternoon session, where sunshine and showers were forecast. 16 degrees Celsius, NE 12mph, 994mb.
