A great little stretch with 44 pegs, many with platforms and parking by all pegs. Barbel to 11 lb, carp, chub and pike for specimen anglers and lots of roach, perch, dace, skimmers and grayling for float anglers. A pike of 22 lb was caught recently, by the upstream weir. Tactics? Legered boilies, pellets and meat have brought the best results for the spessy anglers. Waggler or stick float with maggots or casters and hemp for good mixed bags of smaller fish. Deadbaits and lures for the predators.

What’s being caught? There have been some good barbel to doubles reported from the Ouse around Nun Monkton. Also bream and roach.

Plenty of carp, bream and catfish, with carp to high doubles and catfish into the 40s. One angler reported a bag of 18 carp and two cats in a weekend. Also a 3 lb crucian banked recently. Tactics? Legered boilies, on the bottom or popped up, best for the carp. The cats have been caught on 15 mm boilies.

West Yorkshire, BD16 1UF. Day tickets £7. Tel: 07790 881323. What’s being caught? Carp dominating catches, along with bream, chub and tench. Match weights to 90 lb-plus and pleasure bags higher. Lots of roach on maggots if the bigger fish let you down.
Tactics? Short pole for the best catches, with meat, pellets or dead maggots over groundbait. Small Method feeder also producing. Short pole with plenty of loosefed maggots for lots of roach.
