F1s, carp, tench, roach, perch, skim­mers and chub feed­ing well on the Main Lake. First Win­ter League match pro­duced a 100 lb win­ner from peg 17, fol­lowed by a 75 lb on peg 29. A 23 lb 5 oz carp was re­ported from the Carp Lake.

Pole or feeder with pel­lets best for the carp and F1s. Wag­gler with cast­ers or mag­gots shal­low worth a try for the chub, which have been show­ing to over 3 lb.

Where? Ran­skill, Ret­ford, North Not­ting­hamshire, DN22 8LW. Day tick­ets £5. Tel: 01777 818524. What’s be­ing caught? Carp feed­ing well, with match weights top­ping 100 lb. Also bream, roach and ide if tar­geted on the Match Lake.

Tac­tics? Pel­let feeder pro­duc­ing as well as pole and pel­let for the best bags of carp. Short pole, top kit and two sec­tions, with corn and pel­lets on the bot­tom for mixed bags.
