What’s being caught? Pike fishing excellent, with Simon Dickson boating one of 21 lb 8 oz. The perch fishing is also good, with fish to 3 lb 8 oz. Matches being won with 40 lb-plus of mostly roach!
Tactics? Pike and perch falling to lures. Roach coming to groundbait feeder and maggots at distance.

Far from an easy carp venue, but it has a big head of 20s, 30s, numerous 40s and back in July produced a 50 lb carp known as ‘The Classic’. Big bream, roach and pike also present.
Tactics? The carp show themselves and often follow the wind. It can be weedy, so find clear spots then bait with quality boilies. Bream on small boilies over groundbait. Pike to 20 lb already caught this season, falling to deadbaits and plugs.
