What’s being caught? Plenty of roach and rudd with a few bream to 3 lb, skimmers and a few decent tench and perch. Lots of jack pike about. Tactics? Pole with worm and casters in the deeper water for a chance of a bream, tench or perch. The roach and rudd are responding to bread punch three-quarters of the way across. Bloodworm and joker for stacks of small silver fish. Casters down the track for a better stamp of roach. Small lures, deadbaits and drop shotting working well for the perch and jacks.

What’s being caught? Very disabled-angler-friendly venue. Lots of carp averaging
4 lb with crucians, skimmers to 2 lb, barbel to 3 lb and chub to 1 lb. Plenty of roach and rudd coming out of Kingfisher for a good day’s silver fishing sport. Tactics? Pole or rod and line both good. The most productive baits at the moment are maggots, worms, pellets and bread punch, for all species.

Tactics? Open-end and
Method feeders with maggots, casters and groundbait for the bream. Pole or waggler with maggots for the roach. Drop shotting working well, or pole with chopped worm close in for the perch. You can catch plenty of carp all around the reservoir on boilies, 40 m out, along with the bream.

What’s being caught? Lots of carp from 8 oz to 4 lb, F1s to 2 lb, ide and chub to 1 lb coming out of Suez, Moors and Panama Canals. Drumble and Arena Pools producing carp to 10 lb, tench to 4 lb, ide and chub around 1 lb. On specimen Avoca, Adelaide, Tara, Milo and George’s Lakes, lots of carp averaging 18 lb banked lately, but they go to over 30 lb, 33 lb the biggest of late. A few catfish to 70 lb still being caught. Tactics? Pole with maggots best on the canal pools now. Feeder with maggots, pellets and corn effective on Arena and Drumble. Carp gear with boilies, pop-ups, big pellets and big pieces of luncheon meat on the specimen lakes. The catfish are going for big pellets and deadbaits.

What’s being caught? Over 20 carp per angler in pleasure sessions – a 22 lb and a 25 lb fish out recently. Unusually, bream from 4-5 lb being caught in the shallow water near the island on Island Pool. Lots of skimmers and perch showing well on both pools. There are a few tench coming out of Horseshoe Pool.
Tactics? The carp are being tempted on various different flavours of boilies. Bream after bream on feeder on a short chuck to the island with maggots and groundbait using red maggots on the hook, and no trouble with perch. The tench are responding to corn. Mostly pole and whip with maggots for the skimmers and perch.
