Impressive tench ends a lean spell
COLIN Hebb managed to avoid 10 blank sessions on the bounce when he netted this 11lb tench from a northern stillwater.
Having struggled to get any bites for weeks on end, the East Yorkshire-based angler turned to floatfished breadflake in a bid to bring the glum run to an end.
Seconds after the float buried, he was forced to pile on the pressure, and Colin said: “It went absolutely crazy and started tearing through the weeds at a rate of knots. I had to really give it some stick to make sure I came out on top.”
The fish was beaten on 12lb mainline and a size 6 hook.
