Straight from my bag of feed, most float­ing pel­lets have a hon­ey­comb struc­ture, and a sharp bait­ing nee­dle can be care­fully pushed through them with­out the bait split­ting. Easy to hair-rig, they do take on wa­ter and soften up quickly.
