No need to spell it out

Angling Times (UK) - - SOUTH -

EVERY fishery has a list of rules, and at the places I fish the restrictions are all sensible and in place to keep the fish stocks in top condition.

But one rule that every owner seems to have that saddens me is ‘no litter’.

It goes without saying that every angler should take their little home with them, but I find it a bit upsetting that anglers need instructing to do this.

I understand why fisheries have this rule – not all anglers can be trusted – but this should just be common sense, and not a guideline that is only followed because it is written in black and white on a rules board. Simon Hannah, Kidderminster
