BOASTING 15 waters and nearly 400 pegs, Partridge Lakes Fishery in Warrington is one of the North’s leading commercial fisheries in terms of what it offers to those visiting its banks.
Each lake has been meticulously designed with all types of angler in mind – so, whether you’re a big-fish hunter, pleasure angler or matchman, your desires are sure to be fulfilled during your stay here.
Partridge is especially popular with the match brigade, hosting big events including Fish O’Mania and Match This qualifiers, Supercup Semi Finals and the annual War of the Roses matches on a regular basis.
The venue also prides itself as being THE busiest premier fishery in the UK, with the highest turnouts for open matches – held every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Pensioner and disabled open matches are also held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and boast a superb attendance week in, week out. But if matches aren’t your thing, there’s lots of room to pleasurefish across many of the mixedstock waters. Lakes are always available to accommodate the pleasure angler, so you’re never short of a peg to empty!
Pole enthusiasts should head to canal-style lakes Spey, Marsh or Pine, where you can catch plenty of carp, F1s, tench and barbel by fishing down the track and tight to the far bank.
Willow, Piper, Tweed and Ribbon are perfectly at home with bomb and feeder work for carp and F1s and even the pellet waggler, which will be a popular tactic at the fishery over the summer!
