This bank (pegs 1-31) is a favourite of many as it is right next to the car park and toilets. Relatively shallow water can be found at this end. Expect to find 2ft-4ft depth close in, dropping off to around 8ft at just 13m out. This slope houses a lot of carp and a Method feeder or zig rigs with 8mm yellow pop-ups will bring plenty of runs. Fishmeal groundbait mixes or micro pellets will work around the feeder, with banded 6mm or 8mm pellets currently proving to be the best hookbaits. When using zig rigs, PVA bags full of 4mm pellets and crushed boilies will help to bring bites. Pegs 1 and 2 are good for a few fish for those casting the Method to the trees on the left, but it can be quite snaggy here, so heavy gear is advisable.
