NGLERS who en­joy a bit of va­ri­ety in their lives would do well to take a look at the list of wa­ters be­low!

Be­lieve it or not, there are dozens of com­mer­cial fish­eries where rivers run along­side lakes. In the morn­ing you could be plun­der­ing carp and bream on the pole, be­fore cast­ing a feeder or trot­ting a stick float along the river for chub and bar­bel in the af­ter­noon.

Many of Bri­tain’s rivers are fish­ing bet­ter than ever, and you can tai­lor your ap­proach to what you want to catch. If it con­tains bar­bel, try a feeder packed with pel­lets, while float­fished mag­gots will score for smaller fish and maybe a chub or two...
