Fishery ownership would be a nightmare now I think of it...

Angling Times (UK) - - YOUR FISHING WEEK -

I ALWAYS thought that it would be a dream to own a fishery, but when I really think about it I can’t imagine anything worse.

The idea of being able to walk out of your house and fish on any of the lakes you have developed sounds great, until you realise there are so many issues that come with owning a commercial.

Every day dozens, if not hundreds, of anglers will be left to their own devices with your precious and expensive fish stocks in front of them.

Those without much knowledge could be using dangerous tactics that could harm the fish, and there are others that are litter louts.

Worse than that, you’d be worrying about whether your fishery is going to come down with KHV that could put you out of business. Even if I win the lottery, buying a fishery is out! Robert Revill, Banstead
