Why Birmingham AA deserves its success
THERE’S no denying that Birmingham AA is one of the biggest clubs in the country, and that’s no fluke.
Most clubs meet up once in a blue moon to discuss any issues, and the lack of contact between those in charge often leads to nothing being acted upon.
But BAA has a full-time member of staff in John Williams, who can dedicate his career to shaping the future of the club. He is able to analyse the wishes of the members and decide whether new waters are needed, or if the club is wasting money on other fisheries that aren’t being used.
Other clubs should take a leaf out of the BAA’s book if they want to boost membership numbers. Ben Douglas, Stoke-on-Trent
