TRIALS for the England Disabled and Vets squads for 2017 take place next month on September 9.

Veterans must be at least 55 years old on December 31, 2016 to compete and any angler who is registered disabled is eligible for this category. Each angler must also be an individual member of The Angling Trust.

The Vets Team is bidding to become the first English coarse fishing side in history to win three team gold medals on the trot, after victory in the previous two events. The trials will take place at Packington Somers Fishery in Meriden, Solihull.
