EYED HOOKS

Angling Times (UK) - - JAMES ROBBINS: RIVER CHUB -

Carp can be caught with a soft pellet hooked normally on the waggler, but it runs more of a risk of falling off on the cast or being ripped away by a roach. That means hard banded pellets fished on a hair rig or bait band, and that involves an eyed hook to let you use the knotless knot system. Go for a size 14 barbless carp pattern.
