Angling Times (UK) - - SOUTH -

This fairly open lake is for the more experienced angler looking for the bigger specimens and an angling challenge. It’s stocked with a great mixture of species including eels, golden tench, carp to 10lb, bream, tench and silverfish. There’s a good coverage of lilies to fish to on most pegs where the bigger fish often lie up. If you’re brave, target these features on the pole with worms or sweetcorn over micro pellets, but use 16-plus rated elastic so you can bully even the biggest fish from the snags. The pellet waggler can also work on a bright day for the carp in open water swims, with 8mm pellets favoured as the best hookbait.
